In The Car Names Dealer Success Manager

In The Car, LLC., an embedded digital-first platform that enables OEMs and dealerships to provide auto insurance policies directly to consumers, has appointed Jeff Gunter as dealer success manager.

In his new role, Gunter will help dealers incorporate the new time/labor-saving technology and how to use it to benefit their customers.

“I look forward to providing dealers with this much-anticipated tool that saves time, eliminates friction and delights customers,” said Gunter. “In The Car enables dealers to be in control of the transaction from start to finish. It’s good for dealers and it’s good for customers.”

President and CEO of In The Car, Matthew Edmonds, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Jeff to our team. His skills and energy bring a fresh perspective, and I am confident he will make a lasting impact.”

In The Car uses information already provided during the sales process and, with the help of AI and algorithms, combines that with detailed data about a customer’s motor vehicle history, driving record, household members, other cars, etc. The end result is a customized, competitively priced, A-rated auto insurance policy in less than one minute. Instead of interrupting the sales process while the customer seeks insurance, the dealer can close the deal and move on to the next customer. In The Car is free to dealers and plugs in to all major DMS systems.

Prior to joining In The Car, Gunter was manager of global network marketing at BRP, maker of sports vehicles like Ski-Doo skimobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and Can-Am off-roaders.

Earlier, he was digital marketing manager at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He began his automotive career at DealerSocket where he quickly advanced to executive sales manager.

Gunter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University.
