Automotive Insurance Platform

patent application

ATLANTA, GA – October 2025 — In The Car announced today that it has filed a U.S. provisional patent application for its innovative technology platform that delivers personalized auto-insurance offers in real time to drivers during key vehicle transactions such as purchases and service appointments.

The patented system enables drivers to receive individualized insurance quotes at the exact moment they are buying or servicing their car—seamlessly integrated into the dealer process without requiring any change to the customer experience. By leveraging secure data connections, real-time event triggers, and automation, In The Car transforms the way consumers discover and purchase insurance.

“Our mission is to make insurance contextual, effortless, and available when it matters most — in the car buying or service experience,” said Matt Edmonds, Chief Executive Officer of In The Car. “This patent filing is an important milestone in redefining how technology connects drivers, dealers, and insurers.”

Laura Crabill, Vice President of Operations, added: “We’re focused on building a system that benefits all parties — simplifying dealership operations while giving customers meaningful choice and convenience.”

The patent filing marks a significant step in In The Car’s ongoing development of digital tools that connect the automotive and insurance ecosystems.
